WJHA’s goal is to create a sustainable plan for our neighborhood’s future development using community-based planning to rebalance our neighborhood’s public space toward the needs of our community, not vehicular traffic. MAYOR BLOOMBERG NEEDS TO APPOINT A TASK FORCE TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM.

WJHA’s immediate goals are to: |

|
· Reduce congestion and improve transportation
· Reduce noise |
|
|
|
· Improve pedestrian safety
· Keep our streets clean
· Preserve, protect and expand greenspace
· Obtain a moratorium on all new commercial development in our neighborhood until these quality of life issues are adequately addressed

· Bring greater attention to issues by encouraging residents to consistently report complaints
· Advocate for research and long-term planning

· Keep residents informed on key issues affecting our neighborhood |

· Increase our membership to strengthen our united voice |
